FAILE

Patrick Mcneil and Patrick Miller form the collective better known as Faile, Failes work appears on the walls of cities world wide. The images above are from a recent gallery exhibition in Soho London. The work is a juxtaposition of American consumerist culture and native heritage. Similarly to the works of Mimmo Rotello the large collage or de-collaged pieces mimic they decaying billboards and posters seen on the street. I particularly like the totem poles I really enjoy the combination of Amercan indian style patterns and colours contrasting with text predominately seen in mainstream consumer culture.
